In an M-Style detector, the photomultiplier tube is optically coupled to the NaI(Tl) crystal. A mu-metal magnetic/light shield over the PMT completes the detector.
This type of detector is your best option when you will be using the same crystal/PMT combination every time. It saves you the trouble of mounting your own PMT and making the assembly light tight. Plug on a voltage divider, connect the cables and you’re ready to start making measurements.
We also offer our 2" detector with your choice of three different end well sizes. The end well accepts samples and test tubes for improved counting geometry.
